Hodo (Ho Island) has been given named, because of its foxy shape. When you take an hour and 10 minutes from Daecheon Port, you can meet Hodo. It is a small island with 60 households. The village is located at the northeast coast in the island. It is very brilliant that various kinds of gray-brown rocks are surrounding a wharf, which looks like artificial shape of rocks.

The white sand (3.5 kilometers long and 100 meters wide) is very large in scale. You can see the strange rocks and bizarre stones at the southern parts of the white sand, and it is a wonderful landscape. The temperature of the seawater is appropriate for the swimmer and they can have a good time.

If you go through the village and the gentle hill, you can meet the silver beach. Even though the scale (1.5 km) of the white sand is not so large, the width is 100 meters. The sand is very soft and the gradient is steep. Even though it is not so famous, this can easily stand comparison with others. The shape of the beach looks like a bow. The curved line of the beach makes us feel comfortable.

The quiet atmosphere, the proper temperature of the water, the clean water and gentle gradient of the beach… these kinds of features make the visitors (usually family units) enjoy their times. You can see the houses specialized in Minbak near the beach. In the high-demand season, you also can see the simple frame bungalows. The width of the white sand is very large in scale and you can have a good time with a large camp place. The people in the island are very generous, because this place is not well known yet. The majority of people in the island is Haenyeo(driver in the sea), and it is easy to get something to eat such as an abalone, a turban shell and a sea urchin.
